Sebastian and Thresiamma desperately need the support of a sponsor to put food on their table and buy medications. Their living conditions are terrible.
With your sponsorship, Sebastian would be better able to feed his family and purchase the medications that his wife needs. He would have more strength to work to improve their living conditions.

Sebastian and Thresiamma are poor couple with two daughters. The life of this family is very pathetic as they struggle to make both ends meet. Sebastian goes for fishing, which is seasonal at best, and suffers from hearing problems. His wife Thresiamma had a stroke and is paralyzed. She can move along only with the support of a stick or someone. She needs regular medication for diabetics and blood pressure. Her stroke was developed as a result of discontinuing medicines for her lifestyle ailments. While doctors feel there is a chance of lowering Thresiamma’s level of blood sugar and pressure, her living situation would need to improve for this to happen.
Dheena, their elder daughter, is studying in 12th grade. She joined a religious convent to become a nun and is progressing with the studies there. Neethu, the younger daughter discontinued her studies in the 9th grade as her mother needs constant care and attention. She is a dedicated student and wishes to appear for the 10th grade exam as an “open school” student. She does some hand work stitching at her free time to help the family.
The family is staying in a small tiled house, which is incomplete. The house is surrounded with marshy and stagnant water, which intensifies their struggle to live. There is dampness inside the house which is not good for Thresiamma’s health. They do not have means even for their daily survival and cannot even dream of completing their house construction in the near future. Most often they fulfill their appetite with the ration availed by the government, which is not sufficient.
The monthly support of a sponsor would help this family put nutritious food on the table, buy needed medications for Thresiamma, and generally improve their living conditions.
