Here is a family deserving of help. The father, Koshy, is 62 years old and the only breadwinner of the family. He works in the concrete industry but his chronic asthma hinders his productivity and most of his earnings go for medications for his illness.
Koshy’s eldest son, Jose, suffers from mental and physical handicaps and is often sick with epileptic problems. This means that Koshy’s wife, Thresiamma, is unable to work as Jose needs her special attention and care. As a result, food is scare for this family.
Their living conditions are terrible – a dilapidated hut, with many leaks during the monsoon season. While a house has been approved for them through a government program, it stands incomplete due to lack of proper funds.
