This family of five is struggling to survive. Ezheela, her husband Martin, and their three loving children are in dire circumstances. Martin was a hard-working man before he suffered a debilitating stroke. He is now paralyzed and unable to care for himself in the most basic ways. He requires continuous care, as well as medication that the household can scarcely afford. Ezheela, a faithful wife, now spends all of her time and energy caring for Martin. As a result, she cannot work outside of the home.
For some time Ezheela’s mother came to live with the couple and brought with her a modest income from her pension. Sadly, she passed away last year. Now Martin and Ezheela are left with no income. Their children, Catherine, Joseph and Aanon, range in age from 13 to 3 years old. The two older children are both enrolled in the local school. Here they are provided with a midday meal, which is sometimes their only reliable source of food. The family now waits and prays for some type of aid to help them out of their situation. A sponsorship through the FFA would allow Ezheela to invest in a small in-home business, giving her the means to earn an income while caring for her sickly husband.
