This is a family truly deserving of aid as they have faced many difficult situations in recent years. Aga Peter and his wife, Mary Jancy, were blessed with three sons. Unfortunately, one son tragically died of a heart attack in 2021 as the family could not afford the medications that might have kept him alive. The loss of that son greatly impacted their youngest son and he has been unable to carry on dependably with his work as a salesman since then. Their oldest son, Nithin Alex has a very low IQ and is unable to support his parents adequately either
And, so Aga Peter still goes to sell fish in their community every day despite severe back problems. And Mary has cardiac problems that make it difficult for her to go to work. They worked hard all their lives, not only raising their sons but also caring for Aga Peter’s aged and sickly mother and spinster sister who also staying with until their deaths in 2011 and 2023 respectively. The staff in India reports that the frequent deaths, ailments and financial difficulties in their life has changed the two of them to ‘moving corpses’.
The family was selected for house construction under a government scheme and laid the foundation for the same in 2021. They received two installments but couldn’t proceed with the construction work due to their daily struggles.
