Kochuthresia and Jackson are a poor couple with two young children, a son and a daughter, who are studying in the local kindergarten and in 2nd grade respectively. The family is desperately in need of help in being able to support their children as they would like. The only means of earnings for this poor family is the irregular income from Jackson’s fishing. Unfortunately fate has meant that the family has expenses well beyond the normal ones for a fishing family living in their area.
First, Kochthresia suffers from both heart valve issues and arthritis in her joints that is so severe she has trouble even taking care of the family’s daily household needs. The heart valve problems require not only costly medicine but frequent check-ups. To add to their financial woes, the family used to live in a house close to the seashore that is on Jackson’s paternal property.
