Kochuthresia and Jackson are a poor couple with two young children, a son and a daughter, who are studying in the local kindergarten and in 2nd grade respectively. The family is desperately in need of help in being able to support their children as they would like. The only means of earnings for this poor family is the irregular income from Jackson’s fishing. Unfortunately fate has meant that the family has expenses well beyond the normal ones for a fishing family living in their area.

First, Kochthresia suffers from both heart valve issues and arthritis in her joints that is so severe she has trouble even taking care of the family’s daily household needs. The heart valve problems require not only costly medicine but frequent check-ups. This means the family must find funds for not only doctor visits but $ 12.50 per month for medications – a huge amount for this poverty stricken family.

To add to their financial woes, the family used to live in a house close to the seashore that is on Jackson’s paternal property. But the house was severely damaged in storms and is in a state of collapse at any time. So the family had to move to a rental hut nearby and now must pay $37.50 as monthly rent.

Living conditions for Kochuthresia, Jackson and their children are terrible. They are daily suffering from starvation, misery and ill health and amidst all these hardships, monthly rent and medical needs is a haunting worry for this destitute family. Already they have incurred a debt of $2500.00 for meeting their medical and other urgent needs. They are direly in need of support to survive and overcome their life burdens. A kind sponsor would be a blessing and shine a light of hope on this family.
