Manjula is a pregnant mother of two small children. She and her husband were forced to flee their home village.
The couple and their children are barely surviving. If they are sponsored, it would be a beacon of hope for them. They would be eligible to participate in the FFA Resource program and your monthly support would help pay the rent of the room they are renting in a house and to feed their children.

Meet Manjula and Akhya, a young couple with two children in the mountainous Badasindhiba region. Coming from poor, uneducated families, their lives have always been a challenge. Neither has education or training, so they take any work they can find, and live in dire poverty on the edge of starvation.
Their lives became more difficult when a tribal dispute in the region forced them out of their family village. They told our FFA staff that they had no choice but to leave for the safety of their children. This meant moving to an area where they had no land and no connections.
Today they are staying with an old woman who charges $6/month rent for one bare, dilapidated room. Even this sum is a challenge for the couple. With a third child on the way, Manjula and Akhya are desperate to improve their circumstances. A sponsor could support this family and ensure that the children grow up in a safe home with nutritious food.
Both parents are capable workers, and financial assistance would allow them to start a small business that could lead to self-reliance. For a family that has struggled with challenging circumstances, even a modest gift could make a lifetime of difference.
