The Family of Matilda and Reynold

Matilda has experienced much pain and suffering in her life. Most notably, her oldest son was severely injured in a two-wheeler accident two years ago and is now bedridden. Metilda and her husband also care for her widowed mother and mentally challenged sister.

Metilda would be eternally grateful for the help of a sponsor as she works to the best of her ability to care for everyone. You can read more of her plight below.

This is a most distressing story, Matilda and her husband have struggled to raise their two sons for many years. At present their youngest son attends 11th grade and remains a possible hope for the family in their difficult situation. Matilda suffers from migranes and a prolapsed disc which limits her ability to work. Regnold, her husband, is a fisherman so his income is hard to predict. While they have always done their best to put food on the table for their sons, they challenged themselves more by taking over care for Metilda’s diabetic mother and mentally challenged sister.

Matilda and Reynold also had hope for their eldest son who is now 18 to begin to help support their family. However, two years ago, their son Christiano was critically injured in a two-wheeler accident. He suffered a severe spinal injury and broken back which left him paralyzed from the waist down. To this day, he has an oozing wound near his lumbar spine and he cannot lie straight on his back.  It is very pathetic to see this poor boy’s plight at this young age.

His poor parents have borrowed money from locals and already spent a huge amount for his treatment but everything has been in vein.  He is bedridden and caring for him has made Metilda sickly.

All Metila and Reynold’s hope for a happy future has been turned upside down. The meager income of this destitute couple hardly provides food for this family. The family has no way to pay for medications, paying off debts and a proper house.

A kind soul coming forward to help them in their time of need would be an answer to their prayers.
