Thomas and Rani are a poor couple blessed with three children, a son and two daughters. Their only curse is that the poor family has no means for their daily survival. Thomas is a fisherman but he is having severe arthritic problems so he cannot go for work due to stiffness of hands. He is in great pain. His wife, Rani, goes for some odd jobs so to meet their daily needs. She has no regular work and moreover she suffers from prolapsed disc problems.

Their only son, Steffin, is studying in the 10th grade. It is his school final year and more money is required for his further education. The younger daughters, Jismy and Steena, are studying in the 8th grade and 6th grade. Jismy is having hearing problems. There are medical treatments that could cure her problems. These poor parents are in great mental agony that they cannot provide for their children’s educational needs and medical needs. If this pathetic situation continues, these children will not be able to continue their studies

The only possession of this family is a little plot of land they own. They are living in a semi-permanent hut thatched with tin sheet, which creates much health issues to this poor family. Their hut lacks even the primary facilities  for the family to use. They have applied for a government grant to build a house but are not yet sanctioned. Even if they get selected, the funds allotted will be insufficient to complete the house construction and the family will be forced to go into debt to complete the house.

A sponsor’s monthly contribution would help this family attend to their children’s needs and put some funds away for a future respectable dwelling place.
