Vijaya Kumari is a determined woman. Her husband, diagnosed with liver cancer, can no longer provide for Vijaya and their three girls. Vijaya has begun working and the girls would like to start a catering business in their village.
With the help of a sponsor, the girls’ dream could become a reality. (To learn more about how the sponsorship program in Andhra Pradesh works, click here.) Sponsorship would also help this family to pay for Rambabu’s medications.
If you wish to sponsor Vijaya, please fill in the amount you can contribute each month below and click on ‘Add to Cart’ to make your first payment through PayPal. Thank you!

Addala Vijaya Kumari is one of the poor deserving women in her village. She and her husband, Rambabu, have three children. Manasa, aged 16, is studying in 10th grade, Anusha, aged 14 is in 8th grade and their only son Taraka Ram Rao, aged 7, is in 1st grade.
Rambabu was a daily wage earner and was a good skilled worker in various kinds of odd jobs. Their house was old and ruined. To build a decent house they demolished their dilapidated house and shifted to a rented house. However, Rambabu began suffering some stomach disorders and after test after test, the report came that he is a victim of liver cancer. It shattered all their dreams.
Ignoring himself, Rambabu continued going for his odd jobs but he realized that he is unable to work as before and gradually he was forced to accept his helplessness. A good amount of the family’s savings has been already spent for his medication. Vijaya and Rambabu are worried about the future of their growing girls. They have set their minds and hearts to do what they can for their family. Vijaya Kumari began to go for some odd jobs to meet the daily needs. The girls want to make light meals to sell in their village.
If someone stretches their hand to give a helping hand to sponsor this family, medications can be provided for Rambabu, and the girls’ dream to start a business could become a reality. Any help given to them will be greatly appreciated.
