The family of Annanna and Alleyamma

Annamma and Aleyamma are two aged sisters living on their own in a dilapidated hut.

Aleyamma is blind and Annamma struggles to find menial work to provide for them despite her own medical problems. The sisters often go hungry and are unable to afford necessary medications. The support of a sponsor would help greatly with these simple needs and improve the quality of their lives.

Annamma and Aleyamma are poor aged spinsters, living in a small hut which is built in the corner of their paternal property.

The life inside their small shed is very miserable during the winter as well as in the summer.  During the monsoon the thin sheet which covers the roof portion of this small shed is incapable of resisting the rush of wind and water into it and dampness troubles them a lot. In summer it is too hot inside and very unpleasant for these sickly spinsters.

Both sisters have medical problems which require care. Annamma is suffering from the growth of cyst in her fore head.  Aleyamma is blind and on medication for aches and pains. Despite her own problems, Annamma manages to go for some menial works in the nearby places so she can provide for both of them.  With her low wages they are truly struggling. They have no way to pay for their medications and many days they go hungry.  Sometimes neighbors feel pity for them and give them food. A willing sponsor would help them greatly and ease their struggles.
