Ratnam, 32 years
Pramod, son, 9 years
Kavyanjali, daughter, 5 years

Andhra Pradesh Region

Vaddadi Ratnam is one of the poor deserving widows in her village. She seeks our active love and compassionate heart. After her marriage she left her village as per the custom and lived with her husband in a distant city named Rajahmundry.

Their married life was blessed with two children, one boy and a girl.  Elder son Pramod aged nine is studying in 4th grade and the younger daughter Kavyanjali aged five is studying in kindergarten. Both children are studying in a nearby government school in the local language, Telugu medium.  They get free education and a noon meal from the school.

Three years ago Covid spread in their State and destroyed their happy existence. Ratman’s husband became infected with Covid and lost his life. Ratnam also contracted Covid but God was merciful to their innocent children.

While Ratnam survived the disease, she is not able to work as she used to as she still suffers Covid’s many side effects. She goes for odd jobs but it is difficult for her to do any heavy work.

After the death of her husband she returned to her mother with their children. She and her two children live in a rented house adjacent to her mother. She pays $25 per month for an unfinished house consisting of a one room kitchen and veranda.

If someone stretches a hand to sponsor this family, they could begin to earn a living by raising chicken and goats provided through the FFA Resource Program. This would allow Ratnam and her children to again become self reliant and live their lives with human dignity.

May God bless the kind benefactor! Ratnam will be ever grateful if any one willingly comes forward to give a helping hand.  Any help given to them will be greatly appreciated. May God bless the kind benefactor
