Both Ramanamma and her husband, Yesu, suffer from HIV and are in dire need of help from a sponsor.  They live in a one room shack with no electricity that they pieced together on public lands near their village of Payakaraopeta. Yesu is unable to work any more and suffers from acute Tuberculosis and asthma. Ramanamma goes for odd jobs but her worsening health leaves her too weak to do any heavy work.

Ramanamma is worried about her growing daughters who have no secure place to live. Bahrain lives at a government hostel during the school year but her younger sister must stay with her parents in the shack where the only light is from street lights. The shack, in a public area, offers no privacy for the family. Ramanamma is forced to send the girls away to their grandmother’s house in a distant village during the summer holidays due to the inadequacy of their living conditions.

With the help of a sponsor, Ramanamma could run a petty shop or sell vegetables and seasonal fruits and enjoy the rare privileges offered by the FFA to reach the goal of self-reliance. The family could reunite and afford the food and medicines that would improve their health. Ramanamma and her family would be eternally grateful if any one willingly comes forward to give a helping hand.
