Mary Albin is a poor widow with two daughters and a son. Her husband died of a massive heart attack in 2018. He was a fisherman and was the only earning member in the family. The death of the head of the family was a great shock to poor Mary.

Mary’s elder daughter was settled in marriage with great effort in February 2020 and she is now at home as it is her first pregnancy. Although her second daughter successfully completed the 12th grade studies, she discontinued studies to shoulder the responsibility of the family. She is going for stabilizer assembling works in a nearby unit and it is the main means of living for this family.

Mary’s only son has been paralyzed below the waist since birth. It is a tedious task to care for him as he is over weight. As he needs constant care Mary is not able to go for any work. It is very pathetic to see this poor woman’s struggle to make both ends meet. Debts incurred to settle her elder daughter in marriage, as is the custom in this area, are a great burden to the family.

The family was staying in a dilapidated tiled house, which collapsed during the flood. They were selected for a grant for new house construction and the work is progressing. The good neighbors are freely helping this family with construction whenever possible but the cost of raw materials is huge so the family has debts in connection with the construction too. At present they are staying by the side of a neighbor’s house.

Many are the needs of this destitute family and they are looking for some kind assistance to survive.  The help of a sponsor would be an answer to their prayers.
