Prameela and Threemurthulu live in a distant village with two children, aged 11 and 16, who are at the top of their classes. The family have no land of their own and live in a rented one room house where they struggle to pay the rent and their electricity bill. Prameela goes for odd jobs but often her earnings are not enough to put food on the table. She is the main wage earner in the family as her husband suffers from alcoholism and contributes little to the support of the family.
Parameela works hard and is very willing to do more to support her family. With the support of a sponsor and the FFA’s Resource Program, she could begin selling rice in their village. She knows that the financial burden of the family will only increase as the children strive to advance through higher education. They are the hope of their mother for a better future for them all.
